Do you have one or more project Managers you would like to develop so they can successfully lead the most demanding projects?
Are you a project manager that would like to develop professionally and have the confidence that you are ready to take on the toughest assignments?
The WGK Group individual project manager coaching service can help.
Coaching is used to improve performance for individuals in many roles such as athletes, executives, and business owners and is recognized as an extremely effective way to boost performance.
Our Project Manager coaching is for individuals that are in or are about to be in a project manager role. Our coaching addresses areas essential to success when managing the largest, most critical technology projects. We focus on the topics not addressed in typical project manager training – topics such as leadership, dealing with difficult situations, and communications in the context of the PM’s current assignment.
Our project manager coaching service is available to individuals and to organizations for one or more of their project managers.
Why use a Project Management coach?
Just as a coach helps an athlete by setting goals, assessing performance, and developing improvement plans, a coach can help a project manager grow.
Coaching provides an individual focus to improve specific areas key to reaching an individual’s goals. The coach is a resource with experience handling problems and issues. A coach is an objective, neutral party who can provide insight, outside perspective, and suggestions. A coach provides direct, honest, and confidential advice and feedback.
How coaching works
The coaching process begins with an assessment to determine the focus of the coaching. This is based on discussions with the individual being coached and may also include discussions with the individual’s supervisor and one or more customers/stakeholders.
Based on the assessment we work with the individual PM to identify the goals of the coaching and the measures of success.
Weekly sessions are held to review the issues facing the PM and to develop approaches for handling those issues. Periodic checkpoints are used to assess progress against the goals identified at the beginning.
We can establish a coaching plan that fits your needs. Standard arrangements are for four weeks, twelve weeks, or twenty-six weeks of coaching.
Individual project manager coaching is a very cost effective way to grow as a project manager, improve project delivery (cost, budget, quality), and enhance the reputation/image of IT
